For the past 10 years Allegro has successfully prepared students to attend college as music majors. The legacy of Excell is students who thrive, grow as dancers, become lovers of the arts, and obtain skills that last a lifetime. With the addition of Excell Dance to the Allegro programs, we are able to offer the full range of studies, including college prep, as a Performing Arts Center.
What does that mean to you?
Our desire is to give students every opportunity to realize dreams, whatever they may be. Some of our students simply enjoy dance for the sake of dance. Some of our students wish to focus on an aspect of dance in a professional career - such as Dance Therapy, Arts Management, or dancing professionally.
The Performing Arts industry is continually shifting and growing. We want all our students to be fully informed of options in the various fields. Then we want to empower them to achieve their dreams in the industry. This will increase our focus on college bound students, insuring they have the skills needed to land their auditions.
To ensure the well being and safety of your dancer as we meet the demands of a strong dance program with a healthy pointe program, we will be raising the baseline requirements for our students to industry standards as they prepare for the higher levels of dance. This is an article from the Washington University Orthopedics practice. It reflects the desire of our teachers who are working to ensure your students remain strong and healthy.
The outcome will be strong, healthy dancers that shine!
A majority of our students will continue to enjoy studying the arts on a recreational track. As you click through to the different dance styles, you will see how the classes are expanding and standards that are being set.
Can't wait to see you in the fall!
The equipment, set up and maintenance making it possible for us to offer virtual and recorded options of our classes has been provided by our Pink Diamond sponsor, iSenpai. Click their logo to visit their website.
