Private students at Allegro are encouraged to be part of groups as much as possible. This is especially true for our strings players.

Allegro Youth Orchestra is a place where students can begin creating music and collaborating with artists playing other orchestral instruments. This is a great place for students to apply what they learn in their private lessons to the ensemble. Learning to work in a group setting, listening to one another, and taking direction are all skills learned in orchestra.

Allegro Orchestra Director, Scott Tester

This year, Allegro is bringing back the beginning strings class for grades 4 - 6!

No strings experience necessary. We're looking for those kids who want to learn a strings instrument.

Students will learn to read music, the technique of their chosen instrument, and learning to play in an ensemble

At the first rehearsal, students will be guided in choosing an instrument and measured. Allegro will be facilitating instrument rentals this fall for the first time.
