The study of visual arts include a study of both 2 dimensional and a 3 dimensional work. A balanced approach might include studies in ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, filmmaking, literature, and architecture. Many artistic disciplines (performing arts, conceptual art, commercial art, textile arts) involve a multidisciplinary approach to understanding the visual arts.
The visual arts also encompass the decorative arts, such as woodworking, mosaics, furniture design, textile design, jewelry making, set design, metal smithing, fashion and costume design, as well as rock carving. Although there is a fine line between art and craft, that line has become more vague with the passage of time and through deeper study of individual cultures.

High School classes
Each class has a theme (animals, fairytales, etc.). This is a great time to use are and imagination to create. Class begins with a movement accompanied by music such as moving like animals to the beat or animal yoga. Class will transition to story time with a book on the theme. It will end with a craft associated with the theme like animal face painting or making animal masks. All activities are based on the class ages.
