All who enter will laugh

Allegro Community Players (ACP) is our audition theatre group. We produce two shows a year – one in the spring, one in the fall. This group includes children, teens and adults, depending on the show to be performed.

As a teaching organization, these productions also provide training throughout the show's process. Our theatre staff all offer skills training in theatre, dance, and voice as part of of the rehearsals.

Want more in-depth skills training than you would get during a show? Check out the dedicated classes we offer for music theatre.

There is a small production fee ($100 per show) that will be collected upon the acceptance of a role in a show.

The Allegro Community Players invites you to join them as they present  “The Music Man.” This year’s musical will, for the first time in Allegro’s theatrical history, feature a live orchestra directed by Lori Roddy. The show is directed by Lachelle Yoder and choreographed by Melissa Pieja.

The audience follows the saga of River City, Iowa, on July 4, 1912, as the townspeople fall under the spell of the traveling salesman, Harold Hill (Michael Pryor). At the same time Harold falls under the spell of the town’s librarian and piano teacher Marian (Randi Puckett). We watch the story of deceit turn into redemption. Lost hope in  the little boy, Winthrope (Jon Call/Asa Gueck) turns into a brighter day.

Enjoy the pageantry of a marching band, and the fast paced music and lyrics from all time favorites: "76 Trombones," "Shipoopi," "Pick-A-Little Ladies." A Barbershop favorite - "Lida Rose."
