Emma Carrico

Ballet, Modern

Emma Carrico developed a pballet, hip hop, contemporary, and lyrical.assion for dance when she was three years old and has been dancing ever since! She was trained in ballet, hip hop, contemporary, and lyrical Excell Dance. In May 2022, Emma graduated magna cum laude from Randolph College with a bachelor's degree in both psychology and dance.

 

While pursuing her dance degree, she has been lucky enough to learn from some of the legends in modern dance through Randolph College’s amazing dance department which was created by the late principal dancer for the Martha Graham company, Helen Mcgehee. All of her instructors at Randolph College received their terminal degree in dance from The Juilliard School in NYC.

 

She has had the opportunity to create her own choreographic works, coordinate an entire dance concert, and learn from, as well as dance for, several  dance legends from all over the world. She has demonstrated for a master class presented by the Taylor 2 Company and was chosen to preform a duet with members from the Take Dance Company set by Takehiro Uyama.

 

Emma has a strong passion for teaching, choreographing, and performing. She strives to teach excellence in technique while also nurturing students physically, mentally, and emotionally.  Her goal is to create classes where students feel safe to express themselves in a structured environment where they know they are loved. Upon obtaining her masters, Emma is looking combine her love of psychology and dance and begin a career as a dance therapist.
